At Pass U, our intensive LGV driver training and HGV driver training courses will take you through the relevant steps of gaining your Category C license.

Once you have applied for provisional C entitlement on your standard license, you will need to complete a medical form and the Driving Standards Agency’s theory test. You can then apply to us for a free assessment.

Our LGV driver training and HGV driver training courses cover all you need to know about driving a lorry or truck of up to 7.5 tonnes in weight. We provide practical and classroom-based sessions to provide our students with a full and thorough truck driving education.

When you start your course, we will hold an introductory session so you can get to know the vehicle and feel confident before getting behind the wheel. Over the next few lessons, you will then learn how to:

  • Perform safety checks
  • Drive on the road
  • Basic manoeuvres
  • How to reverse

If you already hold a category C license, you need to undertake 35 hours of training every five years as part of your continued professional development which counts towards your Driver CPC. As a new LGV and HGV driver you will need to complete additional modules before obtaining your Driver CPC.

At Pass U, our Driver CPC Training gives you all the training you need to lead a successful and safe career as a professional driver and we will help you to understand and pass each module.
